Implementation Recommendations:

The Initiative Working Committee made the following recommendations to the NMSDC Board of Directors at its annual meeting on October 31, 2012:

  1. Offer a comprehensive supplier database that is user friendly
    Current Status: A Supplier has been selected; in the planning phase for January 1, 2014 deployment.
  2. Provide an enterprise-wide online certification process that improves user efficiency and increases overall user productivity
    Current Status: The certification process will be integrated into the new supplier database. A soft launch is planned for late February 2014. Current Status: The same system as selected in Item 1 above will be used and deployed in two phases - January 2014 and April 2014.
  3. Set up an all-inclusive online environment to enable the management of learning activities
  4. Establish ongoing customer relationship management capability
    Current Status: Assessing internal tool against requirements.
